Back on Track: Upcomers Stock Feed Resolved
The stock feed delay on my Upcomers 50K account is fixed. Back to trading stocks on this evaluation.
Feed Fixed
The stock feed delay I mentioned on my Upcomers 50K account is resolved. My MT5 terminal is showing price movement and allowing trades at market open instead of at 10:30 EDT I was seeing before. Whether it was a new account provisioning delay or something on their end, it’s working now and I’ll keep watching it.
This matters because I opened this account primarily to trade stocks. My strategy doesn’t require trading at the open, but I need to be able to close positions at any time. I can’t have the terminal acting like the market is closed until 10:30 when it opens at 9:30, and I can’t have it lagging behind my TradingView analysis. Right now I’m comfortable. Moving on.
Back to Stocks
With the feed moving, I’m back to trading stocks on this account. I’m still running smaller position sizes while I get a feel for the platform and the market volatility, so the 3×1% gain days required to advance won’t come fast, but they’ll come. I’m confident in the strategy.
I’m also still trading Forex pairs here, which I like. Being able to shift between instruments depending on what the market is giving on a given day is exactly the kind of flexibility a challenge account should have. Stocks when conditions favor it, Forex when they don’t. That’s the plan going forward.
